Second Marking Period
Did you know that including today there are only 11 school days left in the second marking period? It would be a good idea to check Pinnacle for missing assignments, make a plan to complete them over break, and talk to your teachers! When we return from break, some 7th and 8th grade students will be taking midterm exams and then end of the marking period is Friday, January 16th! You got this, KMS! Do your best!

Looking for a great way to thank your teacher or staff member during the Holiday’s?
The Kennett Education Foundation’s Honor a Teacher or Staff Member (HATS) program lets you honor anyone working in the Kennett Consolidated School District. Parents or children may recognize any of our staff, including bus drivers.
You can participate in HATS OFF by going to http://www.kennetteducationfoundation.org
A donation is not required but will be gratefully accepted and will go towards innovative, KEF supported classroom program.
Once your request is received, the staff member will receive a certificate announcing that they have been honored by you, including any comments you made about them. The staff member is not informed of the amount of your donation, only that they have been honored.
The HATS OFF program is a yearlong program; you may honor a teacher, administrator or staff member at any time.

Citadel Heart of Learning Award:
Citadel and Chester Country Intermediate Unit are pleased to announce that the nomination period for the 2015 Citadel Heart of Learning Award is open until December 31, 2014.
Since the Award's inception, thousands of teachers have been nominated, hundreds of teachers have been named finalists, and to date 39 have been named winners at the annual awards banquet.
The 2014 Citadel Heart of Learning Award winner in the Middle School category was our own Phil Reggio.
The nominations speak volumes about the significant impact teachers have in our community. The Citadel Heart of Learning Award Committee would enjoy the opportunity to formally recognize and reward the efforts, hard work and dedication of at least one teacher who has touched the life of your student.
There are nomination forms at KMS, or you may also submit nominations online at CitadelHeartofLearning.com.
This is to any student that purchases a Texas Instrument calculator this year:
Please save the “TI points” that come in the packaging and turn in to your math teacher. We can use the points to earn technology for the school.
