Tryouts will be held from 2:45 - 4:30 PM. Players will need a field hockey stick, shin guards, mouth guard, water and a positive attitude.

Once players make the team, they will need blue and white socks.  On 9/9, a schedule and team contract will be sent to families along with the practice and game schedule.

All team communication from coaches will occur through Talking Points.  If you need to reach a coach, feel free to use Talking Points or email. 

Pay to Play

All players will have to pay a play fee to assist with officials and transportation.  Pay through Hometown Ticketing. 

Eligibility

KMS expects student athletes to maintain passing grades (60% or above) in all their courses to be eligible to participate in sports.

Middle School Cross Country is all about endurance, teamwork, and determination!
Runners train to improve their speed and stamina while supporting each other on the
course. Whether you’re chasing personal bests or just love being outdoors, Cross Country is a great way to challenge yourself and build lifelong fitness habits.

In order to participate, all students must submit a PIAA Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (CIPPEE) form before tryouts.

In order to participate all student-athletes must pay a fee of $30 per sport. Once your student-athlete has made a KMS team the fee can be paid at the Hometown Ticketing section. 

Students participating in KHS Athletics receive all required uniforms. Any student who has not returned equipment at the end of the season will be required to pay for its replacement. Additional student equipment, awards, letters and report cards may be withheld until all responsibilities have been met. 

All team members must ride the team bus to and from interscholastic athletic events unless the athletic director has granted a special travel request. 

Written or email requests should be submitted to the athletic director prior to the scheduled contest. The request should include the reason(s) for the exception, who will be driving the student, the event name and date, parent/guardian signature and phone number.

According to the PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association), all sport physicals for the 2024 - 2025 school year must be performed ON OR AFTER JUNE 1, 2025.

Only 1 physical is needed for the entire school year, provided no physical changes occur to the student-athlete. 

You may sign up for a school physical or arrange for a physical on your own.  Regardless of your choice to obtain a physical, the physical forms can be picked up in the main office  or downloaded from this section.
