Counseling
This is the future home of the KMS Counseling Department. Content is coming soon! In the meantime, review the information we've already shared to this section.
Welcome to the Kennett Middle School Counseling Department! The KMS Counseling Department provides services for all students to support and enhance their personal growth and development through a comprehensive counseling program addressing social/emotional, academic, and career planning needs.
Services include individual and group counseling, academic support (educational accommodations and interventions), crisis intervention, career and college planning, and student/family advocacy to ensure equity and access for all. School counselors are professional school advocates who are committed to providing support for lifelong learning, personal and academic growth, and teaching students responsibility, cultural sensitivity, and how to be productive members of society. School counselors further support and enhance student development via consultation with educators, administrators, parents, local community/business agencies, and post-secondary resources.
