Mon, Feb 29

Student Council is excited to announce that starting on Monday Feb. 29th we will be hosting the first ever KMS Throwback Thriftshop! The Thrift-shop will be open during all 3 lunches, so come snag some retro Kennett jerseys, athletic shorts, sweatpants and more! All items are $1 or you can buy 6 items for $5, what a deal! Any of these throwback spirit items would be perfect to show your KMS Pride next Friday for Blue and White day during spirit week as well as for the Student Faculty Basketball game that night.

Attention 7th and 8th grade students interested in joining the KMS Track Team this Spring.

There will be an informational meeting after school on Monday, February 29 in the small gym from 2:45 until 3pm.

Any girls interested in trying out for softball please stop by Coach Gottstein’s room (D103) on Wednesday, March 2nd for information on tryouts. Tryouts will begin Wednesday, March 9th.

7th Grade Baseball tryouts will begin on Tuesday March 1st. All players should report to the main lobby immediately after school on March 1st to meet up with Coach James. Bring your glove, sneakers, any bats you plan on using during tryouts, and a light jacket. You will not need spikes, helmets, or catchers gear on Tuesday. You must have a ride available to pick you up promptly at 5pm. Carpooling and ride-sharing is encouraged.

This week is spirit week at KMS. We are getting ready for the Student-faculty basketball game that will be played on Friday, March 4th. No hair paint should be used during spirit week.

Tomorrow (3/1) – Twin Day: Find a friend (or group of friends) to dress alike with today!

Wednesday (3/2) – Color Wars: Each grade has a different color – show your spirit by dressing in as much of your grade’s color as possible! 6thgrade: BLUE, 7th grade: GREEN, 8th grade: BLACK

Thursday (3/3) – Throwback Thursday: Reminisce about the past and dress up like you belong in your favorite decade (the 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s!)

Friday (3/4) – KMS Spirit: Show your KMS pride by wearing Blue and White! And then join us at the Student-Faculty basketball game tonight!
