The KHS Humanitarian Club is hosting a Fall Fest, which is a fundraiser for the Kennett Food Cupboard, and this year it will be a part of the homecoming celebration. The Fall Fest will take place after the Homecoming Parade Thursday evening beginning around 6:30 and concluding at 8:30. The fest will include music, games, food, and a bonfire. The admission to the fest is $5 or 5 cans, all proceeds go directly to Kennett Area Community Services. If you would like to participate in the festival you can sign up outside our KMS Guidance office.

The girls soccer team put forth another great team effort and defeated South Brandywine yesterday. Solid defense, strong passing, and great shooting contributed to the team’s win. Player of the match Taylor Heimann scored 2 of Kennett’s goals, as well as led the defense to preserving the shutout. The next girls soccer game is this Thursday, home against Chichester.

The 8th grade field hockey team defeated Octorara yesterday by a score of 2-0. The Kennett offense was on the attack much of the game when Grace Phillips was finally able to put the ball in to goal early in the second half to take a 1-0 lead. Emma Schwarz put the game out of reach with a terrific aerial shot from the top of the circle. Octorara fought hard until the end, but the Blue Demon defense shut the door with Anna Tresoldi in goal earning the shutout. Way to go Kennett!

Now stay tuned for Which State Is It Wednesday.
