Any young lady that participated in the Girls Take Charge Summer Leadership Camp, please stop by the Counseling Department office after announcements today to pick up your invitation for this Saturday’s workshop. Permission RSVP’s must be returned by Thursday morning. Ask for Mrs. Reinheimer to get a copy of the official invitation.

Monday, September 19, 2016 Day 3

Attention girls soccer players. This is a reminder that there is NO girls soccer practice today. Also, the next girls soccer game is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20th, home against Downingtown. Girls make sure you have your white jerseys and white socks.

Friday, September 16, 2016 Day 2

Today is the last day to submit applications to join Student Council! Applications can be picked up and submitted in Guidance. 6th GRADE FUN DAY is AFTER SCHOOL Today. Have fun !!!!!

Congratulations to the KMS Cross Country team for their progress in racing.  They raced Patton and had a very close race.  Special shout out to the first few top finishers for our team, Madison Brooks, Olivia Sparacino, Gavin Maxwell, and Logan Piercy.  Kudos to the rest of the team for forging ahead. Can’t wait to see you after training for another week.  Swift feet KMS Cross Country!  Don’t forget, you have an early dismissal today at 2 pm. The bus will leave at 2:05 in the front of the building.

Students Celebrate the Mushroom with a Pop-Up Art Show

Our art classes started to celebrate our community and the famous Mushroom Festival early this year! On September 5, 2016 students were painting, drawing, and printmaking real mushrooms. This pop-up art show is on display for a limited time in the main hallway and can be viewed in the photos below.

Wednesday, September 14, 2016 Day 6

Remember tonight is Back to School night here at KMS. Please tell your parents where you have 1st period so they know where to begin. Announcements will begin at 7PM so they need to be in your homeroom by then. We created schedules for parents to follow last Friday, if you were absent check in with your first period teacher after announcement to complete one.

Any 8th grade student who signed up to help with Back to School Night tonight, please report to A201 for the first 5 minutes of lunch.

Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade had their height and weight checked last week during gym classes. If you do not have gym in your schedule or if you were absent last week when height & weights were done, please come to the nurse’s office today to have your height & weight checked.

We wanted to thank some special students and share some pictures from the parade last Friday. Those special students are Jackie Hernandez, Lola Almanza, Jocelin Arizmendi, Noemi Juarez, Charlie Foster, Luca Tresoldi, Joe Berger, Bryan Arizmendi, Zitlaly Tapia-Vergara, and Ellie Hogan and they all represented Kennett Middle School and After the Bell at the Mushroom Festival Parade on Friday night. They carried the After the Bell banner and gave out candy. All of those students should stop by the main office to receive their Kennett Square for Dedication at a Community Event. Thank you for representing KMS and After the Bell!

Attention all students!  This is a very important message from the ATTENDANCE OFFICE.  Please remember when you enter the building late, you MUST stop at the attendance window and see Mrs. Staley.  If you have an early dismissal, your parent/guardian must see Mrs. Staley at the attendance window.
