October Student Spotlight

Welcome to our new feature, Student Spotlight! Here we will feature our Kennett PRIDE Students of the Month. These are the students who have received the most Kennett Squares in their grade that month. The September PRIDE Students of the Month are Marco King from sixth grade, Mattias King from seventh grade, and McKenna Norton from eighth grade.

Marco King

Marco, a sixth grade student, reports that his favorite subject is Science because he has a great teacher who teaches him amazing things. When asked about his favorite part of Kennett Middle School, he said, “I like all of the clubs and that you can do many things during lunch. I also like how all of my teachers are always prepared and ready to teach many things.” When Marco is not in school, he enjoys playing outside. His advice to students who strive to be a Kennett PRIDE Student of the Month is to “try your best and be nice everywhere you go.”

Mattias King

Mattias, a seventh grade student, shares that his favorite subject is Math because it “makes sense.” He shares that his favorite part about Kennett Middle School is his teachers and that outside school he enjoys playing soccer. His advice to other students who strive to be a Kennett PRIDE Student of the Month is “if all you want to do is show off, don’t bother.” What a great reminder to “just be yourself!”

McKenna Norton

McKenna, an eighth grade student, loves American History because her teacher makes it “fun and interesting” and she enjoys learning new content. Her favorite thing about our school is the teachers because they are “truly passionate about what they do.” Outside of school, McKenna is very active playing tennis, learning Mandarin, read, and attend her church youth group. McKenna advises students to show their Kennett PRIDE by “always being polite and appreciating the little things your teachers do for you.”
