KMS Spelling Bee 2017

Kennett Middle School’s Spelling Bee took place on January 10 at 6:30 in the school’s cafeteria. The event included spellers from sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. The Bee went into the fourteenth round, when Blake Ciresa, a sixth grade student, correctly spelled “ferocity” for the win! Jay Mehta, a seventh grade student, was the runner-up.

Blake will represent Kennett Middle School at the Chester County Spelling Bee at the Chester County Intermediate Unity in Downingtown on February 22. The night was filled with the sound of letters uttered and words spoken, support from family and friends, a few laughs, and countless examples of sportsmanship and kindheartedness. Congratulations to all participants!
