Bye, Bye, Birdie is getting started, so please listen to the following…

Students interested in performing on stage who did not attend yesterday MUST attend TODAY. At this meeting, actors will learn what and how to prepare for auditions. Students who are planning to audition to perform on stage must stay from 2:35-4:30. Students MUST go through the audition process to perform on stage. The MEETING WILL BE IN THE CAFETERIA.

Students interested in joining the Stage Crew who didn’t attend yesterday MUST attend TODAY, January 5th January 6th. At this meetings, Stage Crew will learn about the back stage roles and will petition for their preferred positions. Students that are interested in joining Stage Crew must stay from 2:35-3:45. The MEETING WILL BE IN THE CAFETERIA.

Attention Band and Orchestra students. Please go to your lessons today. The lesson will be the same period, the time and length will be the only difference. All Band and Orchestra students who have a lesson on Day 4 need to attend their lesson today!

Attention Chester County Futures Students,

The first Futures AHEAD monthly meeting of the year is on January 9, which is on a Monday. Please make sure to place it in your calendar and tell your parents. As usual, we will meet in the lobby of KMS to take the bus to our meeting at the end of the day. We will return to KMS for parent pickup.

Attention all students and staff-

It’s WAR… check your couch cushions, sidewalks, and bottoms of your backpacks for loose change! All next week during lunches, Student Council will host Penny Wars in the cafeteria. Sixth, seventh, and eighth grades will be competing against each other to see which grade can collect the most change. All money collected will benefit the “Change for Change Community Fundraiser.” The winning grade will be rewarded with a surprise!!!

Thursday, January 5, 2017 Day 3

Attention all 7th and 8th grade students interested in auditioning for Chorale. Auditions will be held before school and during lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week in F105 with Mrs. Mancuso. This year we will be featuring music from Broadway’s “ Into the Woods”. If you’re interested in signing up for auditions or if you want more info, stop by Mrs. Mancuso’s room this week.


We have 3 weeks until the end of the second marking period. Friday January 20th is the last day of this marking period.

Parents of students who are new to KMS musicals are invited to attend an evening information meeting TONIGHT, January 5th at 6:30. At this meeting, parents will learn about the tradition of KMS musicals, hear what students and parents need to know about the audition process, and have the opportunity to ask questions.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, KMS! Now that we know that this year’s musical is Bye, Bye, Birdie…it’s time to get rolling.
