6th and 7th grade boys & girls who plan to try out for ANY sport at KMS next year.

You must have a sports physical done after June 1st by your private doctor or at school. These forms are now available in the Nurse’s Office or outside of the Main Office.  Sports physicals will be done at KMS on June 1 and 6. They will NOT be offered again next year.  Consent forms must be returned directly to the nurse by May 26th if you plan to have a physical done at school. The fee for a sports physical at school is $15. If the cost is a problem, please see the nurse. 8th Grade Students will receive information from Mr. Harvey about sports physicals for Kennett High School in June.

Attention students, lost and found items will be put out on tables at the school store until Friday May 12 then will be disposed of. Look for your good stiff that you have been missing.

8th grade, Can you believe that many of you are only a few months or years away from your first job! We’d really like to help you prepare to make a great first impression. We already have some teachers in line to model what not to wear and now we need a few students willing to model what TO wear in the Career Day Fashion Show. If you are willing to walk the runway, please stop in to the Counseling Office following the morning announcements.

The track team did a very nice job yesterday at the Chester County Middle School Track Championship meet. Some of the top performers include Dominik Martinez who placed 3rd in the long jump, Terrance Winters who placed 3rd in the Shotput, Kimberly Alvarez who placed 5th in the 100 meter dash, and Gavin Maxwell who placed second in both the 800 meter and 1600 meter races.

The KMS Softball team will play its final home game of the season this Friday against South Brandywine. The game will be held at the High School Field and start at 3:15. We invite all 6th graders interested in trying out for the team next year, fellow 7th and 8th graders, and teachers and faculty to come out and support the team.
