Welcome KMS to College and Career Awareness Week! To those who are wearing college and career hats, WE SEE YOU AND YOU LOOK GOOD!!! When we are back on Wednesday, it’s Well Rounded Wednesday! Getting ready for a career isn’t just about academics, it’s about extra activities as well. Every experience you get is an experience you can use…so teachers, feel free to dress in something that reflects your college activities and interests. Students, you can wear any gear that advertises your current after school activities and interests, too. We want to see all you football players, dancers, actors, musicians, photographers, writers, go-cart drivers, and more!

Every day this week we will ask you a college and career trivia question. If you know the answer, submit it to the box in the guidance office. One answer will be chosen for a prize each day. Here we go with question #1: List at least 5 of the 14 colleges and universities included in the Pennsylvania system of higher education. Here’s a hint. West Chester University is one of the schools but Widener University is not!

Teachers, here is a conversation starter. Tell your classes all about your college experience! Where did you go? How did you choose? What was your major? In what extra-curricular activities were you involved? What is your best college memory?

We will see you in well-rounded gear on Wednesday!

REMINDER TO 8th GRADERS who are participating in Thursday’s CAREER FASHION SHOW. Please remember to show for our 10 am trial practice session today. Please bring your clothes or a picture of your clothes with you. You should all have received passes in your homeroom for the dismissal. Please come to the counseling office if you did not receive your pass. We will meet next to the book drop in front of the counseling department and then move into the main gym. See you all at 10 am.

Tomorrow you get to sleep in for the inservice day. We do not have school because it is an inservice day for election day.
