Career Day is tomorrow! The 6th and 7th grade will be touring our career fair in the gym. The 8th grade will be front stage at a career fashion show and will attend three career presentations. We will be hosting over 50 career volunteers from the community, so everyone should come to school dressed for success!!! Wear your best business casual and make KMS proud!

Attention all Reading Olympic team members. There is a mandatory meeting, Wednesday, May 17th during 7th grade lunch at 11:57 in the library. This is for all members of the team, regardless of grade. FCA huddle will be tomorrow morning at 6:50 in Mr Bowlings room. We will hear the personal testimony of one of our students and listen to a guest speaker – Frankie Kelly. Frankie was a lax player at UNC. He will tell us what it is like to be a Christian on a college athletic team. If you have been wondering what FCA is – this is a great week to check it out!!

On Monday, the 8th grade baseball team finished their season with 7-6 victory over Stetson. Pat Methlie threw 5 innings and recorded 9 strikeouts, at the plate Methlie doubled and scored a run. Thomas Edmonds and Brady Friedrich each added a hit for the Blue Demons. Nick Patterson hit a triple in the bottom of the 7th to tie the game at 6. After Methlie was hit by a pitch, Joey MacMillian knocked in Patterson who got under the tag for the come from behind victory.

The softball team finished it’s season with a 8-0 victory against Stetson on Monday. The team was lead by Genevieve Ebaugh who pitched a 1 hitter with 16K’s and went 3 for 4 at the plate. Carly Cicconi went 2 for 3 at the plate with 2 stole bases, Lexi Cicconi crushed a triple, and 5 other players each collected a hit. The team finished the season 8-2. Way to go girls!
