Welcome Back To School – Monday, August 28, 2017 Day 1

Many people worked very hard this summer to get ready for today. Students, we welcome you to what promises to be the best year yet.

Students, make sure once you have received your agenda book, that you take it to every class. Don’t forget to take it to your cycles classes because you may need to keep track of important information. 6th grades, do not leave it in first period especially for PE.

Attention all 7th and 8th Grade boys interested in playing soccer. Boys soccer tryouts will be held on September 5th and 6th. Tryouts will go from 2:45 to 4:30. Any boys interested in trying out for soccer must have a physical on file with the nurse. Please see Coach Saikin in B007 with any questions.

Many of you are new to our school. 6th graders you had your days for school labeled as letters. You had A day through F. Here at KMS we have the same 6 day cycle but our days are numbered 1 through 6. You probably heard in the opening of the announcements that today is day 1. Tomorrow is day 2. You will need to know the day of the week to determine which cycle you go to.

Reminder! Please be sure to return or renew all summer reading library books by Friday, September 1st. Beyond that date, they will be overdue and you will need to return them before selecting new materials. Thank you.”

Attention all students, tomorrow we will have principal’s advisories. 6th grade will be in the big gym during 2nd and 3rd period. 7th grade will report to the big gym during 4th and 5th period. Finally, 8th grade will have advisory in the big gym during 8th and 9th period. That means tomorrow you will not have your cycles class you will be hearing many important things!

Fall cheerleading will begin Tuesday, September 5th from 2:45-4:30. All students interested in participating must complete athletic paperwork before practice.

Student Emergency Forms, Sports Physicals, and 6th grade physicals should be turned into the nurse. Lists of students who are cleared for FALL sports will be posted tomorrow. ALL students must have a current sports physical and consents on file with Mrs. Shannon prior to try outs.

Stay tuned for our first Motivational Monday Video of the year!

Have a Great Day KMS!
