In a total team effort, the 8th grade Field Hockey team defeated Chichester by a score of 4-0. The Blue Demons were on the attack early and often. Led by Kaylah Butler, Maya Ranganath, Sarah Hetrick, Ellie Hogan, and Meredith Day took a 2-0 lead in to half time on goals by Vivian Chiumento and Genevieve Ebaugh. Brooke Traver had two assists on the day while Kristina Frey and Gianna Wuchter helped control the middle of the field. In the second half, Baily Halstead added to the Demons lead with a break-away goal. With her second goal, Ebaugh would put the game out of reach with a blast from the top of the circle on a penalty corner, making the score 4-0. Excellent play from the defense of Corrina Kley, Julianne Staudenmeyer, and Elise Arena, Anna Tresoldi made 4 saves to earn her first shutout of the season. Way to go Kennett!
