“7th Graders stay tuned for a special video announcement regarding this year’s Adopt A Family event”

The Middle school football teams improved their overall record to 7-2 with two big wins yesterday against Lionville Middle School, with the 7th grade remaining undefeated at 4-0 and the 8th grade improving to 3-2. Scoring for the 8th grade came from Colby Bushweller’s 6th kick-off return of the season and also scoring were Dylon Boddy, Cole Hulme and Jake Freeberry. The 7th grade scoring came from Julian Sparacino, Tyrus McMillan, Zac Hume, and Aiden Zdebski. Defensively, Dylon Boddy and Mathew McQueen both had interceptions.

Congratulations to the Cross-Country Team on their outstanding performance at last night’s Cross-Country Invitational. Logan Piercy finished at a smooth 5:23 mile, with Divan Du Toit close behind with a 5:42. Not to be outdone, the next batch of boys including Marco King, Gabe Pardo, Grayson Zubrod, Jeffrey Kelstrom, and David Lemper finished at or near a 6:30 mile. This was followed closely with the 7 minute mile team of Darrale Barrett, Corey Fricker, TJ Wright, Matt Wilson, Michael McNamara, Liam Mitchell, Arno Raath, Baden Saathoff, and Michael Lucas. Rounding out the boys team, we had Pierce Chapman, Aidan Griffin, and Connor Shumaker complete the course. Way to run boys!

Of-course, the boys needed to stay on their toes as our girls continued to nip at their heels. High five to all the girls that received an overall lower score time than our boys. Why wouldn’t they with Maddie Fritz finishing strong with a 6:39 mile and Anna Jiang just around the bend with a 6:52. Curie Cha was the strong and steady with her 7 minute mile. Rounding out our girls at a cool 8 minute mile were Lily Steffensen, Dasha Pebly, Kaelyn Doherty, Meredith Fay, Abby McConn, and Annie Mendiola. Fantastic job done by all.

Also, a SPECIAL THANKS TO THE WHOLE TEAM FOR ENCOURAGING THEIR COACH DURING THE MILE RUN. She couldn’t have asked for a better cheering squad and attributes her performance to their enthusiasm!

Remember, we are back on the course for our race against North Brandywine today. All XC runners have an early dismissal after 8th period. Wish the team speedy feet as they light the course up this afternoon.
