Attention “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing” students. Tomorrow is the awards ceremony at Penn State Great Valley. If you plan on attending and have no secured your tickets from either Mr. Powell or Mr. Malkasian, please do so today. You will need a ticket for yourself and for those you’re attending the ceremony with.

It is time to celebrate youth art month ! Sunday March 4th kicks off the kms student art show at the Brandywine river museum . Student work will be on display for the month of March. There will be an artist reception Sunday from 3-4:30 to celebrate our opening! This is a free event , everyone is welcome!

Today, in lieu of our traditional scrolling slides, we’ll be showing a selection of KMS artwork that is on display at the Brandywine River Museum. The artwork is a reflection of the wide-ranging styles, skills, and qualities of our KMS artists. While the artwork may be scrolling by quickly, you can get a better look by visiting the museum yourself. For more information, please see Ms. Connor or Mrs. Uhl.

Attention all 8th grade football players:

There will be a KHS Football meeting on Monday, March 5th at 7pm in the high school auditorium. All 8th grade players and parents are encourage to attend. You will get a chance to meet the new head coach as well as hear about the football program.

Softball tryouts will be held on Thursday and Friday this week immediately after school. Players should meet outside by the softball field and bring all your equipment to school. Please make sure you are on Nurse Shannon’s list in order to participate. Practice will end at 4:30 and parents can pick up around back.

Friday, February 2, 2018 Day 2

Happy Spirit week everybody! Tonight is the Student-Faculty Basketball game. Thanks to everyone who is showing your Kennett Pride. There are many fun things going on at KMS tonight. Can’t wait to see you there.

New Garden teachers took on the teachers from Bancroft. It was a sold out crowd at the Kennett High School. DId you hear who won… NEW GARDEN!!!!!

The top 5 finishers in yesterday’s Hoops 4 Troops Kahoot Challenge were Jeffrey Day, Ben Opalesky, Jackson Lower, Rowyn Nurry, and Luke Fowler. Congrats! These 5 individuals will play 5 KMS teachers in a game of knock-out during the Student Faculty Basketball game tonight! Hope to see you there.

Thursday, March 1, 2018 Day 1

The following individuals have been selected as participants for the Hoops 4 Troops Kahoot Trivia Challenge which will take place today, March 1st during 9th period in room A107.

Students should report to 9th period, check in with their teacher, and then report to A107. They will remain in A107 for the remainder of the day.

The top 5 scorers in the Hoops 4 Troops Challenge will receive free entry to the Student Vs. Faculty BBall game. They will also play 5 teachers in a game of knock-out during half time.

6th grade participants are Kayla Guzman, Josh Konrad, Rowyn Nurry, Joaquin Mendoza, Jackson Lower, Jeremy Michael, and Brandt Berger

7th grade participants are Dominik Ventresca, Joe Giles, Luke Fowler, Reagan Pelletier, Juan Duran, and Emiliano Alba Rodriguez

8th grade participants are Joe Berger, Jeff Day, Ben Opaleski, Charlie Foster, Luke Augustine, Patrick Lawler, Nathan Hollick, and fundraiser organizer Christian Dahms.

If you went to Bancroft or New Garden Elementary you may want to attend the Faculty Fundraiser Basketball Game tonight at Kennett High School. The game begins at 7:00. Head out and cheer for your Elementary teachers.

Happy Spirit week everybody! The Student-Faculty Basketball game is on this Friday March 2nd.

All students who were having trouble selecting a language class in Mrs. Colgan’s yesterday’s Day 6 Computer Class please go to the Guidance office immediately following announcements. Thank you.

7th and 8th grade Students who plan to try out for Baseball, Lacrosse, Softball or Track –

Please check the board outside of the Cafeteria to make sure your name is listed under the appropriate sport. You must have written parent consents and sports physical to be cleared for tryouts.

If your name is not on these lists, see Mrs. Shannon in the nurse’s office today.

The track meeting will be held in the small gym on Thursday at 2:40. The meeting will end by 330. Any questions contact Coach Hannah @610-308-4288.

There will be a brief meeting in room F101 this Thursday, March 1st for all 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing lacrosse this spring. Interested players should plan to be picked up at 3:30pm. No equipment is necessary.”
