KMS has our first Night at Liberty Market Place of this school year. We will see you at Liberty Market Place Tuesday, November 13th from 5-8. A portion of the proceedes will come back to our school. Take your family for some fun!

A big congratulations goes out to the Middle school football teams after soundly defeating Chichester yesterday. Touchdowns for the 8th grade were scored by Zach Hulme (2) and Aiden Zdebski. Colin Jung added a two point conversion to bring the final score 20-0. The 7th grade touchdowns were scored by David Lillis (2) and a long pass from Bo Freebery to Chase Patalano. Bo Freebery and Charlie Guzzio added the two point conversions to bring the final score to 22-0.

8th grade- First undefeated Middle school football team (16-0)

7th grade- Tied for most wins for a 7th grade (8)

7th and 8th grade Students who plan to try out for Winter Sports – Basketball, Cheerleading, & Wrestling – Please check the board outside of the Cafeteria to make sure your name is listed. You must have written parent consent and sports physical to be cleared for try outs. If your name is not on these lists, see Mrs. Shannon in the nurse’s office today.

Try outs for girls basketball will begin next Wednesday, November 14.

Try outs for cheerleading, boys basketball, and wrestling will be announced when dates are chosen.

In conjunction with Kennett High School, Student Council will be hosting a canned food drive throughout the month of November to benefit the Kennett Food Cupboard. Please place canned food donations in the large cardboard boxes at the end of each wing and help us fight hunger by increasing the food supply of those in need. We appreciate whatever generous donations you are able to make, but you can also look at the signs posted around school for items in highest demand. Please also check dates on your food donations. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT!

Attention NaNoWriMo participants: Beginning this Friday, Ms. Hahn will be hosting a writing lunch in A207 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for writers looking to boost their word count and stay ahead of deadlines. Next week on Tuesday, November 13 and Wednesday, 14, Ms. Hahn will host an after school writing party. Pre-registration is suggested. Signups are outside of A207. Students wishing to participate must have a ride home at 5:00pm. Information regarding food at the party will be available at registration.

The state of PA requires Dental Exams for all 7th grade students. Our School Dental Hygienist will be doing dental exams this Friday for 150 students in 7th grade who have not already provided a report from their private dentist.

If you have a report from your private dentist in your book bag, please bring it to the nurse’s office now.

Passes will be given on FRIDAY during homeroom. Students should arrive promptly at the designated time to have their teeth checked briefly in the nurse’s office.

There will be NO FCA tomorrow morning.
