Mrs. Uster took Mr. Malkasian’s parking spot and therfore, is lucky this announcement is being read:
Attention KMS…6th Graders, 7th Graders, and 8th Graders! Here is the 4th clue to reveal the title of the 2019 KMS Musical.
Clue #4: This year’s colorful show, written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, was originally written as a 15-minute musical for a school, but it was filmed in 1999. Sting’s first performance gig was playing bass in the pit for the full version of the on stage musical.
All students interested in performing on stage or working back stage on Stage Crew should listen carefully to these important details and dates:
All stage performers: Actors, singers, dancers, and tumblers: The meetings to teach you how to be prepared for auditions are Thursday, January 3rd and Friday, January 4th after school from 2:35-4:30 in the cafeteria. You should attend one meeting, but you may attend both to be more confident and feel more prepared for your audition. If you do not attend one of these meetings, you may not be best prepared to audition. Everyone who performs on stage must audition, but everyone who auditions will be invited to perform in the musical in May.
Students interested in working on Stage Crew: You must attend ONE of the meetings on Thursday, January 3rd ORFriday, January 4th after school from 2:35-3:45 in the cafeteria. At this meeting you will hear from Mrs. Coe what the different roles are and what is done back stage. You will pick your top 3 role choices.
There will also be an informational meeting for parents of students interested in auditioning or joining Stage Crew on Tuesday, January 8 at 6:30pm. This meeting is primarily for parents of students interested in the KMS Musical for the first time, but all parents are welcome.
If you have any questions, please see or contact Mrs. Uster or Mrs. Coe as soon as possible. Pay attention to tomorrow’s morning announcements for the FINAL and FULL Musical reveal.
Attention Battlebot club members. There will be no Battlebots today, Thursday December 20th. If you have any questions please see Mr. Powell in room D105.
Students, we need to think about the schedule. We end this week tomorrow on day 1. When we return to school on Wednesday, January 2nd it will be a day 2. That’s easy to remember January 2nd, day 2. We will have exactly 2 weeks until the end of the second marking period. Term 4 will wrap up the second marking period on Wednesday, January 16th.
Have a great day KMS
