Friday, January 25, 2019 Day 6

Here are some tips to stay healthy during this time of flu season.

Frequent hand-washing is one of the simplest — and most effective — ways to prevent the spread of germs. We suggest soaping up for as long as it takes to sing the “Happy Birthday” song twice. Remember to wash your hands:

Before eating food

After using the bathroom

After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing

Common sense can go a long way toward staying healthy in school. In addition to frequent hand-washing, you should

  • Use hand sanitizer.
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze.Keep your hands away from your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Steer clear of colds.

To all 8th graders: By now you should have gotten your permission forms for our exciting tour of the Technical College High School in West Grove. You will be able to experience an afternoon touring anything from Robotics, to Cosmetology, to Auto Collision Repair, and much much more! This field trip has proven to be one of the most popular at KMS, so don’t be late with handing in your permission forms and seeing what awesome programs can be yours in the near future! The Technical College High School has a ton of work to do to prepare for our visit, so they asked to know who is attending by tomorrow. So please turn in your permission forms to your homeroom teachers by tomorrow!

This morning we will have a whole school assembly. The Harlem Wizards are coming to visit again. On Saturday, February 9th the Harlem Wizards will take on the Kennett School District teachers in the KHS gym at 6:00. The money raised on ticket sales will support the KHS mini thon.

Stay tuned for Flocabulary on a Friday.

Have a great day KMS.
