Wednesday, June 12, 2019 LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Mr. Reggio would like to thank all of the 6th graders who donated their time last Thursday to make the 13th annual World Community Service Car Wash a success. $481 dollars was raised for the Big 5 Charities that support organizations and people all over the world. If you participated in the car wash, please meet Mr. Reggio after announcements in front of the cafeteria to take a group photo. Thank you!

We will be called to the assembly by floors around 8:15 towards the end of 1st period. Remember that today is a day to celebrate great things students have done this year. Be sure to clap with genuine enthusiasm and show your best Kennett Pride. We will have many guests in the building.

Attention all current 6th and 7th graders- a new coding and programming opportunity is coming your way! This Fall our school will be starting a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) club. Our student teams will have the option to build a robot from a more technical kit and compete at the season-end competition in Philadelphia. If you’re looking to join a team this fall and get an introduction to programming and an advancement into what the High School robotics team gets to work on – then this club is for you! Please come see Mrs. Bonacquisti during your lunch today to sign up for the informational emails that will be sent throughout the summer. Our first meeting will be held in early September!

Monday, June 10, 2019 Day 6

Yearbooks will be on sale for 6th and 7th grade during lunches today. Please have payment ready and see Mrs. Lozada in B001. There are a limited number of yearbooks set aside per grade level. Any yearbooks remaining will be available for any grade level starting Tuesday morning.

Any 6th grade or 7th grade girls interested in trying out for the 7th and 8th grade girls soccer team next year please sign up outside of Ms. Gottstein’s classroom, D103, and take a tryout flyer. If you have any questions feel free to see Coach Gottstein.

Tuesday, June 4, 2019 Day 2

Cheerleading tryouts will continue to take place in the main gymnasium today and tomorrow from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Anyone interested in being a part of the cheerleading team next fall should attend the three days of tryouts. Again, they start today.

8th grade field hockey players interested in playing field hockey at KHS in the fall should attend an informational meeting at 7:30 AM in room F109 on today . If you cannot make it, please see Mrs. Shumway.

Physical exams will be done in the nurse’s office today between 8:30 – 1:00. Other students should visit the nurse only for emergencies, daily medications or scheduled procedures.

This is a very important message from the library. ALL library books are now overdue. Please return all books promptly. Summer checkouts begin June 3rd and you will not be able to check out if you have overdue books. Thank you.

Attention all 6th and 7th grade girls: There will be a BRIEF informational meeting for anyone interested in playing volleyball next year in Mrs. Clapp’s room (D113) during lunches TODAY. If you can’t make it during lunch, please stop down to pick up an informational packet as soon as possible
