Now over to a special guest, Welcome…

Good morning KMS! My name is Ms. Davis and I am similar to your school counselor. Typically, I can be found in the counseling office. As I am new to KMS, I encourage all of you to introduce yourself if you see me around. I am here this morning to introduce MINDFUL MONDAY! Today it is the 1st MINDFUL MONDAY! Being mindful is paying attention to the HERE and NOW. Now, what is Mindful Monday? It’s a time where you learn about the practice of mindful strategies like breathing, moving, and new ways of changing our thinking. Mindfulness practice can improve memory, concentration, the ability to focus, and even test performance. Lastly, mindfulness has been shown to reduce anxiety, stress, and depression.

Stay tuned every Monday for Mindful Monday Moments! We will practice a mindful strategy next Monday. Again, I am Ms. Davis and see you on Monday!!

Take care and peace out KMS!
