Friday, September 13th, 2019 Day 2

We are making one final plea to get your summer reading books that you borrowed back to the library. That creates a lot of extra work for the teachers in the library. Please get them returned.

Kennett Middle School’s Coding and Robotics club will be meeting each Tuesday and Thursday after school until 4:30pm. This team is run under the First LEGO League organization, which teaches students how to work through the design process to build a suitable robot to run the course, as well as block coding, and collaboration skills for a team based activity. Our team will meet each week until our competition in December. New members are welcome to join and its open for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

Student Emergency Forms were sent home with students on the first day of school. The forms are pink this year. Every student should have returned a form to the nurse. If not, please pick up a blank form from the nurse (Mrs. Shannon).

Vision Screenings will be done for all students on Picture Day, Friday September 27.

Yesterday the Parents and PTO, provided a lunch for us. We are so thankful and we appreciate their efforts!!! Please tell them thank you!

Here is a reminder on how can YOU still help with the KMS gardens? Students could enroll in After the Bell’s gardening session on Tuesdays after school. Parents, students, and teachers can check out our social media pages where you can find info on how to donate supplies for our garden. Materials will be collected by Mrs. Mancuso. We’ll also be using our social media to sign-up volunteers for upcoming garden events. Take a look at this slide.

Have a great day KMS!
