Tuesday, September 24, 2019 Day 3

Do you have school spirit? Would you like to help school and local community members? Consider joining Student Council! Mrs. Bevan, Mrs. MacNamara and Mrs. Clapp will be holding the first Student Council meeting of the year this Wednesday, September 25th from 2:45 to 3:30 PM in room A205. All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students interested in becoming Student Council representatives are welcome! Hope to see you there!

Attention all KMS students! Do you like solving problems? Do you enjoy challenging math puzzles? Then the KMS Mathcounts Club is for you! Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader can join. Our first meeting is on Wednesday October 2 after school in B207. We meet until 3:30. Please stop by and see Miss Gatnarek with any questions or for more information.

Students, this Wednesday is the halfway point of the first marking period. It is the end of term 1. Check skyward to make sure you are up to date with all of your classes. Time flies when you are working hard!

After-The-Bell starts today!

You have received your confirmation letters in homeroom. Look over the forms carefully and share them with your family. Questions or changes – please come visit After-The-Bell in C106 or outside of the cafeteria during lunch.

Still need to turn in your form – that is fine drop it off to C106.

This Thursday, September 25, the school store will be open during 6th grade lunch. The school store sells school supplies and spirit wear. You can bring cash or checks made out to KMS. If you would like go to the school store during your lunch time, tell an adult and sign out. The school store will be open for 7th and 8th grade lunches next Tuesday, October 1. Come and check it out!

Both boys soccer teams got their first victory against Chichester on Friday afternoon. 8th grade goals were scored by Ethan Wentzel, William Lopez, Ronaldo Avalos, Wes Presnell, and 2 goals from Martin Hernandez. 7th grade goals were scored by Jake Brutscher, Deyvi Ramos-Luna, Juan Garzaron, Leo Marquez, Thomas McAndrew, Chase Esser, and Brandon Quintero. The teams have home games on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week, so come support KMS!

This Friday September 27 is Picture Day. Vision Screenings will be done for all students during that time. Make sure to bring your glasses.

We are having the FCA huddle AGAIN this Thursday morning starting at 6:50 am. Anyone can come, invite a friend. It is held in Mr. Bowling’s room, B104. Hope to see all of you this Thursday at 6:50.
