Today is Day 1
Please stand for the pledge of allegiance
Attention Parents,. If your child borrowed summer reading books last June, and have not yet returned them, they are now over 1 week overdue. These books MUST be returned immediately so if you see library books at home please remind your child to return it.
Kennett Middle School’s Coding and Robotics club will be meeting each Tuesday and Thursday after school until 4:30pm. This team is run under the First LEGO League organization, which teaches students how to work through the design process to build a suitable robot to run the course, as well as block coding, and collaboration skills for a team based activity. Our team will meet each week until our competition in December. New members are welcome to join and its open for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. If your child would like to join this club please find the table in the lobby labeled FLL or First LEGO League!
After the bell registration has started this week. Take a look at this slide.
After-The-Bell offers Fun & free After-School activities
Join ATB – 1, 2, or 3 days a week! Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. A snack and a ride home is provided for students.
Parents, Student Emergency Forms were sent home with students on the first day of school. The forms are pink this year. Every student should have returned a form to the nurse. If not, please pick up a blank form tonight from the nurse (Diane Shannon).
Vision Screenings will be done for all students on Picture Day, Friday September 27.
Parents and PTO, on behalf of all the staff in this building the lunch you provided us today was fabulous. We are so thankful and we appreciate your efforts!!!
The vegetable garden beds are all built and filled and we even got a few plants in the ground this week. Our staff and students are Amazing!!!! The beds are located outside the doors between the TV studio and the girls locker room. What an exciting adventure. Thank you to everyone who made this day possible
Here is a reminder on how can YOU still help with the KMS gardens? Students could enroll in After the Bell’s gardening session on Tuesdays after school. Parents, students, and teachers can check out our social media pages where you can find info on how to donate supplies for our garden. Materials will be collected tonight by Mrs. Mancuso in the big gym. We’ll also be using our social media to sign-up volunteers for upcoming garden events.
