Wednesday, October 2, 2019 Day 2

Today we will have LEAD during 2nd period. LEAD stands for Listen, Encourage, Advise, and Discuss. The two goals of LEAD are to foster academic success and to build positive relationships. We will have LEAD once or twice a month for the whole year. Every student will be assigned a LEAD teacher and a Conference teacher. This morning, your homeroom teacher will give you your LEAD invitation and instead of 2nd period tomorrow, we will all report to our LEAD classrooms. If your homeroom has not yet received your invites, please send someone to the office to retrieve them from the homeroom teacher’s mailbox. We are excited for you to meet your LEAD teacher today during 2nd period!

Did you know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime? Although it is rare, over 2,000 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. We are wearing pink throughout the month of October to help raise awareness for breast cancer. Student Council asks you to help make today our first successful pink out! Thanks for your support in advance and we look forward to seeing you in your pink.

Today the school store will be open during 7th and 8th grade lunches. The school store sells school supplies and spirit wear. You can bring cash or checks made out to KMS.
