KMS Treble Choir Spends the Day at Temple University

Our KMS Treble Choir had a very exciting day. This group of seventh and eighth grade singers is an auditioned, extracurricular ensemble that performs 8-12 events each year throughout the area.

On February 20, 2020, Treble Choir took a field trip to Temple University for a full day of choral activities. They got to observe a rehearsal and sing with Dr. Paul Rardin’s Concert Choir – the top singing ensemble on TU. They will spend an hour or more in a workshop with Dr. Elizabeth Cassidy Parker, a middle school choral specialist. She used that time to work specifically with our students to develop their singing skills and fine-tune music for their other performances this year. After the workshop, students will get a guided tour of the campus. Then they closed the evening by singing The Star-Spangled Banner at the Temple vs. UConn men’s basketball game. What an amazing opportunity for these students and their fearless leader Mrs. Mancuso!
