Are you wearing fun socks today? Today for Red Ribbon Week, we are socking it to drugs and alcohol. Don’t forget your hats tomorrow as we put the cap on drugs.

Students, have you heard that you should never open a door and let an adult into our school? Even if the adult has a KCSD Badge?

All KCSD employees will be able to use their FOB to get into the building. They won’t need help from the student. There is never a need for a student to open a door and let an adult into our school.

For example, if a student is reading on a bench at the bottom of the B wing and an adult knocks on the back doors, waives, and asks the student to open the door, the student should never open the door. The student should notify another teacher.

Please do not open the door to let an adult into our building.

Congratulations to the Girl’s Volleyball Program on completing their season this past Friday.

Both teams saved the best for last in their last home game against Patton.

The 8th grade team played their best game all season, it was a good day.

The 7th grade team pulled out a nail biter 3 game set for the WIN.

Coach Leo and Coach Gambino are proud of how much growth both teams showed throughout the season.

Remember…team pictures are tomorrow. Please bring BOTH uniforms to turn in. We will be wearing BLUE for our pictures. Our picture time is 12:55. REMEMBER: Bring BOTH uniforms and your smile!

The 8th grade girls soccer team beat Lionville yesterday by a score of 1-0 in their final game of the season. The goal was scored by top striker, Ava Schlosser. Zoey Ernst topped off her incredible season with another shutout, supported by the strong defense that held on tight to that one goal lead. The girls finished the season with a winning record.

The 7th grade girls soccer team tied Lionville by a score of 1-1 with a last minute goal from Ryann Bennett, assisted by Ella Johnson off of a beautiful corner kick by Brianna Handlin. The girls became the only team to score against the Lionville 7th grade team ALL season. Big thanks to Lorenza Arriagada Turrent and Claire Cofran for chipping in to play goalie for the 7th grade team. Lorenza had a great save on a penalty kick to keep Kennett in the game.

To all the girls soccer players – great season. We are so proud of you!

As always, please wear your mask so it is fully covering your nose and mouth at all times. And one last thing, Don’t forget your hats tomorrow as we put the cap on drugs.
